Artist Bio

Leigh Elizabeth is a freelance artist based out of the Kawartha Lakes/ Trent Hills Region. Through her bold, titillating and often colourful artwork she wishes to empower the viewer and aims to make fantasy one step closer to a reality. Her work began in Acrylics though she soon expanded beyond her preferred medium into Watercolour and Ink Paintings, a medium more intimately connected to her love of comic books and graphic novels. The disarray and depth present in the comic book medium is something which she has always wished to invoke in her own artwork.

Leigh Elizabeth began her artistic career in Sherbrooke, Quebec where she became a graduate of Bishop's University. After graduating she then went on to become an active member in the artistic community of the Kawartha Lakes Region, displaying her artwork in a number of Canadian Galleries and attending summer art festivals annually. She has been involved in various fundraisers and events around the region. Working with groups such as the Art School of Peterborough, Kawartha Turtle Trauma Centre and the Buckhorn Fine Art Festivals Chair Affair to name a few.

In addition to her work in various group exhibitions, Leigh's work is currently housed in a number of private collections all across Canada and various parts of the World.
